This is the McDonalds bathroom. For some reason they have HUGE flush buttons in this country. They even have something called an Uber-flush in some of them...yea...figure it out..GROSS

wait, I thought German toilets had a "shelf" where the poo hangs out in the open air before you flush it.
Oh my gosh! I so remember that!! When we lived there, the house we lived in before we moved on base had a toilet like that! I was only 8 though, and thought it was kind of cool!
Cory -- I didn't see any open air shelves. Maybe that is an older way of doing things? (I love your kitty face!!!) For the most part the bathrooms were really modern -- but the flushing buttons just got bigger and bigger!
