My New Art
I am so excited about my new crafting/art project that I couldn't sleep last night. I was tossing and turning dreaming out the steps I have to take to complete this project. I want to tell you all about it but it’s a birthday present for a friend and I’m afraid she’ll read my blog and find out. Her party is October 28th and I’m presenting it to her then. It’s quite a big item and Eric had to help me make it. I should be close to finished tonight and then I’m going to take TONS of pictures. As with Holly’s bridal shower invites – I don’t want to give my baby away!I bought a $30 toolbox at Home Depot yesterday. I have 4 bags of crafting stuff that I need to combine in to one neat and orderly container. This tool box has fun drawers and compartments for me to keep all my safety pins, buttons, scissors, feathers, etc. It should store nicely in our new mega organized closet.
This weekend Eric finished laying the tile in the bathroom. Tonight he'll do the grout and then soon after that we get in to the carpet!! Once the carpet and bathroom are done then we can move back in. I have a feeling the timing is going to be a little off. Next weekend I’m flying out to San Fran to see my cousin wed (and also see Cory, Courtney, Natlie and Bri) and so I’ll be unable to help him move back in to the house. I’m not sure if that means he’ll wait until I get back or if he’ll move us in while I’m gone? Either way we should be sleeping in our own bed by next week.
It’s finally getting cold here and I need my winter/fall clothes which are currently being stored in my parents basement until we move back in to the house. I wore a coat to work today, which I had to dig out of the dusty condo, for the first time this year. Although I can’t stand the winter – it is nice to have the fall. The leaves are pretty and it makes me want to drink apple cider by the fireplace. Eric’s Mom just decorated the house for the Halloween holiday so our bathroom has a ghost hand towel and there are little knick-knacks that light up and say, “BOO!” all over the house. Very cute. I could even drink my morning coffee out of a pumpkin shaped coffee mug if I wanted!
Updates on my exciting new project soon! If you’re really interested you can email me and I’ll send you a picture of it. Hint: It’s big and I’ve never done one before!!

Actually I am already done with my project for the most part. I have to wait for the tile glue to set and grout it (two more hints). Other then that I'll be done. AS for the tool box of stuff...I dabble in crafting now and again. I do scrapbooks, cards, invitations, stain glass, blankets, photography, etc. It's not a steady hobby -- more of a gift giving technique.
I also babysit somewhat so having these things around (feathers, markers, paper, paint) helps on boring babysitting nights to entertain the kid that might otherwise want to play cops and robbers.
Jess, did you read my blog post? About chris?
I can't wait to get my Miller Lite windchimes!!!
