SEVEN POINTS

So tonight I went to my 2nd_to_last History Class. I came with two dozen Krispy Kreme doughnuts for the class party. Post-party we went in to reviewing the assigned chapters, and going over the test review sheet for next weeks test. As Mr. Smith was handing out the test review sheet he says, "Now -- I should tell you all that next week's test is optional. Seven people got A's. Eight people got B's. So 15 people do not HAVE to take the test. The rest of you -- I'd advise that you do."

After the test review we were allowed to go forward and receive our final class grade so that we could determine whether to study and take the 4th test -- or just skip it and accept our grade as is. My test score history is 2 A's and one B but participation points are worth 20% of our grade. I was SEVEN POINTS FROM AN A because of participation points. I'm not even saying that I don't deserve that. BUT SEVEN POINTS? ANYTHING ABOVE 900 points IS AN A -- AND I HAVE 893 POINTS....PLUS I BROUGHT TWO...THAT'S TWO BOXES OF DOUGHNUTS....DO I REALLY HAVE TO TAKE THE TEST??? No, I don't. I could just walk away and accept the B that is just shy of an A. So I will study for the fucking test and I will get my A damn it!
