The Ball

The hardest part about sitting on a yoga ball all day is when I get up from my desk my "chair" just rolls away. A few minutes ago I kicked it to the fax machine on accident. I get all tangled up in it. There is definitely a lot more muscle use going on so I like it and highly recommend it! Some companies might find it a tad unprofessional but I work for a therapy company so we're all about it. It's a far cry from just sitting slumped over at my desk like before. And I kind of like to bounce on it -- although I feel somewhat....Perverted, childish, or embarrassed about bouncing up and down like that in the office. THAT might be the unprofessional part of it. Note to self: No bouncing on or kicking yoga ball.

How did you find a yoga ball tall enough? My office bought everyone these $600 chairs to ensure that everyone has the correct lumbar support, but I just long to put my feet on the desk and snooze in them their so comfy!

Yoga balls come in 3 sizes. I got the ball for the 6'3" man which blows up to 30 inches. I sit a LITTLE low but my head is looking directly at the monitor instead of down, which was the reason that I slumped so much.

Gotcha. Was the ball expensive?

It cost me $30 and I got 3 esitmates. I went to Whole Foods, Sports Authority, and Target. I ended up buying at Target. The ball also came with a DVD on how to work out with the ball. FYI

Awesome. I think you can get them at TJ max or marshalls too. I will have to look for one! Test out this new theory of yours!
