My Grandmother

In the wee hours of the night my Grandmother passed away. She was an amazing woman, mother, grandmother, caretaker, and "troop leader" who held on to life with great strength, poise, and determination. I am grateful to her for being a wonderful grandparent and for giving me the most amazing father on the planet. She has passed, but not without leaving 8 children, 12 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren here to carry on in her amazing way!

Thanks Hon. She's been sick for a while and didn't even really remember who she was by the time she left last night but she was the only grandmother I had. We're all sad but more then anything we're relieved that she's not suffering anymore. Thanks for the support!

I hope you're still blogging -- I'm keeping my eye on you!

Thanks all for your support. It's been a wierd day but full of all the fond memories -- so that's kind of neat. You might be able to tell in that picture but she's got no breasts. I didn't mention it but she's a cancer survior too. I think that's pretty amazing on top of having huffed out 8 kids! Oh and my Dad, 6 foot 3, is the SMALLEST of the boys (there are 4 of them). Woah! She was tough. :0)
