Huh.....

JOY TO THE WORLD; MY GIFTS HAVE COME!

Fo rizzle this has been the craziest Christmas ever!! Not because of my gifts, no, but they were all great. It was because of all the family family family family!!! Between Eric and I we had 4 days of nothing but family celebrations. I love my family. I love his family. But I think we're both familied out!

Friday, December 23rd

Happy hour with old friends/family friends. It was great. Eric got to meet half of the girls that were in my brownie troop as well as the parents that accompanied them. It was a nice blast from the past type of event complete with a bon fire and loads of wine.

After we got home, drunk, we decided to celebrate Christmas early. We opened up all of our presents to each other. Many have asked so I'll just say it now: No, there was no sparkling diamond engagement ring in the stack. We'll keep our fingers crossed for next year. No pressure sweetie pie! *wink*

But, I did get -- from my uber (Did YOU know Uber only has one 'b'?) thoughtful boyfriend:

• A lovely gold necklace
• The choice of one of three laptop bags
• Some ear muffs and a matching scarf
• A new watch
• oodles of stuff in my stocking.....I'm sure there's more but I was over whelmed ....
  

Saturday, December 24th

Christmas Eve at my parents house. Tradition insists that all the children spend the night at Mom and Dad's on Christmas Eve. We have a fancy dinner, with a champagne toast, and we open one present. This was the first year that one present turned in to 5 but the dinner was fab! Eric was lovely and joined me for all the Crazy family stuff that night. What a champ!!!

Sunday, December 25th

Christmas morning. This was the first time my sisters kids were able to spend Christmas morning with us, so the first part of the morning was basically a flurry of wrapping paper and battery operated walking dinosaurs. The adults spent the rest of the morning opening up all their fun gifts. Thanks to all who hooked a sista up!

Sunday night, December 25th

Christmas at Eric's parents house. We did a light super and gift opening with his parents, his sister, his brother and his brother's family. After a few hours of that we trotted down to his (are you ready?) sister-in-laws parents house for a dessert/coffee session which went until 10:30. I WAS SO TIRED.

We hid.

Tuesday, December 27th

God gifted me a UTI. I've been cheating on my diet. So off to the doctor and then to the pharmacy I went.

That evening, Eric's sister-in-law had Eric's Mom's side of the family over for gifts/dessert. That was about a 7pm-11pm event of laughing, gift unwrapping, drinking pink wine, and good family times. After that event I was just pooped.

Wednesday, December 28th (yesterday)

Off to Eric's Grandmothers house around 6pm to have a celebration with the OTHER side of the family. I wasn't feeling well since I have this lovely infection so we headed for home about 8pm, stopping only at Blockbuster for a movie.

We watched 4/5 of The Skeleton Key to discover the last 20 minutes of the DVD had been damaged and we were forced to go to bed without having seen the best part of the movie. Bunk.

So now that all that is over, and E and I finally have some down-time, I'm going to blog, post pictures, read your blogs, and relax!
