Congratulations, Graduate!

After all that birthday talk, I don't think I mentioned that Liz graduated from College! Yes, indeed. Congratulations! To the friend that's come SO FAR!

Invites

God (or someone that he knows) got me back for not inviting every motherfucker I know to my wedding.

Yes.

He did.

I just discovered that I got 25 less invitations than I need ...no let me rephrase...I just discovered that I ORDERED 25 less invitations THAN I NEEDED!

Shit!

I have written a poem ...

Roses are Red
Violets are Blue
Shit.. shit.. shit.. shit..

Boobs

Last night E and I went to his brother's house to celebrate little Austin's (Eric's nephew) 8th birthday. After all the Star Wars birthday celebrating was over, I went in to full detail on wedding plans with both his mother and his sister-in-law, per their request of course.

After a while I remembered that I had my digi camera in the car and I could actually show them pictures of the Bed and Breakfast we're getting married in, not just read them the fluffy descriptive paragraphs that came with the B&B literature. I was soon flipping through one picture of the B&B to the other; Pointing out the jacuzzi in our room, the patio, the reception site, the this the that anD THEN WHAMO!!

MY BOOBS!

MY BOOBS.

Steamy and naked in the jacuzzi!

Needless to say his mother screamed and I screamed and it took us some time to recover from that moment.

..Huh....

Happy Birthday

Yesterday was Liz's 29th birthday. Happy Birthday Lizzy!

I hate blogging now

I hate blogging now.

I don't know why? It's weird. I have time, like I'm sitting here right now with nothing to do, but I don't want to blog. Life is good. I have no complaints. Well it has been raining a lot -- but nothing really is itching to come out through the top of my fingers and on to this page. Maybe I've grown out of my blog?

I still have that weirdo making comments about my fucking feet. What's up with that. No new foot news, dude. I'm sorry that you're craving my feet. Too bad you wish you could be my flip flop for a day, or maybe a lifetime. But they're MY FEET. Mine. Go bug someone else about their feet.

The wedding planning is going nicely. Of course we're freaking out a little that we might have invited a few too many people and now we're going to have to suck it up and go over budget. I'm quite sure that's a common bridal fear. It's hard to draw the line when between the people you HAVE to invite and the people you WANT to invite. I mean ideally we'd love to invite everyone we know -- but you just can't. Only super stars and mega rich folks can do that.

This summer was to be my 10 year class reunion. I'm not able to go since I'm getting married during that time instead. But luckily I will be seeing 3 of the few classmates I actually still like at the wedding. That's like killing two birds with one event.

We watched "The Hills Have Eyes" last night. It was really X Files meets bloody mess. Kinda gross but I liked it. Too bad I feel asleep right at the end. Remind me not to get lost in the dessert!

Bliss!

Ahh the wedding is coming together. We have pretty much finalized our guest list and now we're moving forward with the other details. I just got in our cute cake topper which is HILARIOUS if you ask me.

Last night I ordered the invitations which has proven to be one of the more difficult wedding to-dos. There have been a few things I've been more or less dreading taking care of when it comes to the wedding and that was one of them. The other was the flowers. Last Friday I went to the library to check out a book on flowers so I could get a vision for what I wanted. Wanna know what I chose? Green Hydrangea, light yellow roses, cream color roses, and some green stuff called Bluperium or something?? Anywho it's going to be pretty.

Other exciting news is that I finally came up with my favors. Favors, otherwise known as "budget haters" are little gifts to the guests at the reception. Sometimes you see favors with little "Eric & Jessica 2006" written on them. Mega cheesy -- but very "hip" in the wedding world. I wasn't going to do them because of several reasons, one of which being that I think they are gay, but also they can dent your budget by hundreds of dollars if you're not careful. I'm hand making my favors. Something special for the girls, and something manly for the boys. Each item essentially reeking of "Eric and Jessica" but not over the top, making you want to barf in your prime rib.

It's been nice to be out of school for a few weeks. I do have MUCH more time on my hands now though -- so my social life has sky rocketed. Busy busy busy! I'm debating taking this speech class for the last 6-weeks of the summer but since the last few weeks of my maiden life will be so crazy and exciting, I'm leaning toward skipping that class and just starting fresh in the fall.

Sorry I've been a bunk blogger but I've been having SO MUCH FUN planning my wedding!!

Thanks!

Thanks to Gavin, one of Eric's groomsmen, for sending us a gift certificate to the Chart House for our engagement. Tonight we have 7:30pm dinner reservations at the Chart House to both go over and finalize our guest list. This wedding planning, except for the stressful freak out I had about getting the bridesmaid's dress orders in on time, has been A BLAST! I love it! I love finding new ways to be thrifty about all of it too!

Since we can't invite the world (sorry world) we're going to have to send out some wedding announcements after the ceremony. Please note: Wedding announcements are not gift requests. Etiquette stipulates that wedding announcements are just that - announcements -- and in no way obligate the receiver to send a gift. The reception has to be kept small in order to be able to breath. We can't have a bunch of people packed like sardines in prom clothes fainting from the august heat. So that means our guest list is going to be whittled down to our closest friends and most of our family. Most of our family - but not all. I have one of the biggest extended families I know of (7 aunts and uncles on my Dad's side, and 6 on my Moms = shit tons of cousins to boot!) Eric's family is medium sized and local - therefore - there probably won't be a whole lot of them that CAN'T make it. Things could get out of hand with the numbers -- and quickly. Anyone who has planned a wedding -- and had to pay to feed 100+ people -- knows how hard this part of the planning is!

Never the less -- I've got cute announcements to send out for those who aren't going to be attending the wedding! I don't want to give the details away -- since some of you might be receiving one -- but they are cute!

Sorry if you're not getting a invitation -- it's surely not that I don't love you --but more like I can't afford to feed you. The more money we spend the less money we have for a down payment on a house. And quite frankly I want kids & reality insists that children not live in condominium walk-in closet drawers - no matter how fabulous your Container Store Closet Organizer is.

Flowers are next. I know about as much about flowers as I do about brain surgery. They're both detailed and expensive. I'm clueless about all else. I do know, however, that SILK FLOWERS ARE NOT AN OPTION!
