Stocking Mania

This year I am making 3 stockings. One I finished for Eric a few weeks back. I wanted to show you the finished product. The 2nd one is for Brodie -- my little love. I haven't started the one for my Mom yet, but I'm waiting for it to be delivered. Check out what I've done so far....

Here is Brodie's stocking. I'm almost done. I need a few more hours to stich on some finishing details.

Here is the stocking pattern that I got Eric. This is the picture that was on the front of the package.
This is my finished product. Looks good, eh?

Since Turkey Day

Okay okay I had a busy ass day at work today and had no time to blog, but now that I've had a good dinner, and a glass or 4 of wine, I'm prepared!

This is the picture diary from ....well when ever it was that I said Eric was making tacos with no chunks.

Here is Eric making sure there are minimal chunks in the tacos. He's so serious and intense when he goes the extra mile.

Here is my brother feeling the effects of Thanksgiving...this was before the Turkey...so maybe he was feeling the effects of something else???

This is definitely a POST turkey picture....here is my cousins son Brody...easily confused with..
MY KID...I mean Holly's kid.BRODIE...whom I love more then my own not-yet-born-or-conceived-child.
Here is the beginnings of our NEW kitchen floor that Eric worked on over the weekend. Isn't it smashing? He's so great that after he did the floor he cooked me dinner. I LOVE HIM!

Fa la la la la...la la la ....car problems

I don't know what it is. It could be me. It could be luck, fate, or just a case of "shit happens" but it seems that every winter, when I'm either trying to buy Christmas gifts, or recovering from buying them, that my car causes my wallet to send me pondering whether I should get a part time job. The good news is that I just got a raise at work for good performance. The bad news is that I have a family, that is rapidly growing, to buy gifts for come Christmas.

Saturday morning I walked out side to find my car with one flat tire. Now I've had John patch 2 of my tires already. And the last two times I've brought my car in for general stuff (oil change, inspection, etc.) he's told me that I really need to get new tired. I had planned to get them at some point this month. I knew it needed to be done and I didn't want to head out in to winter with bald tires for Christ sake. So on Saturday Eric and I drove my poor, sad car to the Sears Auto center and had them put on 4 brand spankin new tires. (Mid-grade $70.00/each). I just spent $350 on my car and I still have to buy Christmas gifts. Thank goodness I have a few babysitting jobs this month to save me!

I think since the end of 2005 I've spent about $2000.00 on my car. I have $3000.00 left to pay off. I'd like to get rid of it. It seems time.

Dreams

Happy Thanksgiving! I'm heading to the beach house to party with the parents here in a few but I just wanted to write down this dream I had!

Last night I had a dream that our Black Widow pet, Charlotte, started having babies so Eric put her outside. The whole time I was like, "Why the fuck did you do that? Why didn't you kill her? Now she's going to eat lady!" But before he could answer Charlotte ran in to the house via the sliding glass door and crawled in our bed leaving Eric to chase her around the room. Neither of us was bitten but I woke myself up talking (loudly) in my sleep -- say "get HER!" Huh....

The night before last I had dreams I was hanging out with serial killers. I couldn't get them to stop doing what they were doing but I knew they were good people underneath it all. It was kind of like I was stuck in a movie like, Seven or something. WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME?

Had a good night last night. Eric and I had a stay-in date. He made tacos, we had a fire, it snowed lightly outside, and we watched a movie. Later I'll post a picture of Eric making tacos. He has an obsession with dividing the little chunk's of ground beef up until their teeny tiny little pieces. He doesn't like large chunk's of meat in his tacos. It's one of the reasons I love Eric - he just always goes that extra step.

Be safe!
Jessica

Molly

Speaking of old friends....I've been missing an old friend of mine, Molly. I met her my junior year of High School, in Colorado, when I was doing all those bad things I briefly mentioned in this post. Molly and I quickly became best friends (BFF). We were so inseparable in fact that I moved in with her for the summer before my senior year. My parents were moving to Cali and Molly and I could not imagine our lives apart.

Sadly though, since the year 2000, she has been lost to me. Out of touch. Unreachable. You may remember her from a post during my depression phase last year when I was sending out Christmas cards trying to see who still loved me. Hers came back. After the attempted Christmas card I looked her up on every free people-search I could find. I sent out 3 letters to 3 different addresses but they, along with the Christmas card, all came back "undeliverable".

A few weeks ago I tried to find her again. I resorted to looking up her parents whose names I did not remember. I did remember that her Dad was a dentist in Colorado so I scrolled past several people with the same last name until I stumbled upon a dentist named Terry, and at that moment I knew my search might have sprung a fucking leak. Terry. From there the memory of Molly's Dad Terry, walking down stairs during one of our last minute keg parties in his whitey tighties, swept over me with emotion. I had no choice but to send a letter to Terry and demand that he have her call me.

FINALLY -- after eons of loneliness and yearning -- she's called. Now married (again) and with a baby (again) I've reconnected with Molly. Choirs of angels sang Ace of Base and Alanis Morsette when I heard her heavenly voice.

Molly, I've missed you. And after all my anguish and suffering I dedicate this post, and the following pictures, to you.

The Weekend of Keelee

Note: Today I'm at home, sick, hung-over, worn down, and officially feeling too old to party.

Keelee flew in to DC in all her glory and swept me up in to what has to be one of the over the top fun weekends of a lifetime. Very few weekends can compete with this one.

We'll do the quick-and-dirty and then get to the pictures....

Thursday: Keelee comes in. I have a test but she goes to a wine tasting while I'm gone and we drink and talk until 2am after school gets out.

Friday: Wine and Cheese at Moms. Wine and dinner at Holly's. Southside. The lizard Lounge. The Rocket Grill. Zigs. Call Eric to come and scoop us up. I get home, fall on the bathroom floor and can't get up, Eric takes me to bed.

Saturday: Drive to retrieve my lost cell phone. Drive to Old Town to find my car. I can't remember where we parked it EXACTLY after we left Southside and began on foot. Lunch at Union Street. The mall to find shit hot outfit to wear to the gig that night. Keelee duct tapes my breasts together. Meet up at D&Ds to grab Limo. Party our brains out.

Sunday: Sleep, sleep, throat hurts. Body sore.

Today: Still at home.

Pictures of Saturday night and then another famous pic of Keelee on the wake up.

This is Mrs. Party herself in the Limo we got for next to nothing.
Here are Deannie and Dean showing their Limo excitment.
Here is Keelee and Eric's best friend John. John's girlfriend Claudia was unable to go because she fell sick at the last minute but we missed her.
Here I am excited to see my hot rock star boyfriend!

More Fun Pics

Here is Keele (typo...this is actually Deannie and I..) and I smiling for the camera. Doesn't she look pretty!?

Deannie and Dean are so in love...with Miller Light

Here is Keelee posing with Eric. I know they're sad to be apart. Eric is really looking forward to her possible move to Virginia next fall. I think they'll become best friends.

.

Eric looks like a hot sexy devil guitar player!

The Keelee-Monster lives!

This is what Keelee looks like after she's taken me out and gotten me drunk. Clearly it's a hard job but somebody's got to do it!

Starbucks - deliver

I wish Starbucks delivered. It's 40 degrees outside and I'm dying for a cup o'jo but I'm not down with the 2 block walk. LAZY.

I have my 3rd History test tonight and I'm going to be mega distracted because my friend Keelee is here. She was supposed to come stay with me tomorrow but she just called to tell me that her conference in Baltimore is bunk so she's ditching and coming down in just a few short hours!!! I'm thrilled (!) but how will I pass my test?! How will I study?! How will I cope? Coffee - that's how!

I am heading out to make sure there aren't panties on the floor of our condo or other possibly porn related materials in the midst. I'm so excited!!

Here is Eric's new and improved band poster. Do you see the subtle difference?

Gig Update

Eric is playing a show this Saturday. I'm really excited because I haven't been to one of his shows in a long, long time. For this gig the band put together a flyer. Eric is a little shy about it but I'M SO PROUD so I'm going to post it. (Sorry babe) It makes my heart flutter with crush-like symptoms.....kinda like what I had for the New Kids On The Block..... I hope I can keep from throwing my panties on the stage!

You can bet your bippy that Keelee, Johnny, Deannie, Dean, and I will be dancing our brains out with the rest of the red neck folk on Saturday night! If you're in the area you should come by! Fun!

The New Bathroom

As promised, I am posting pictures of our new and improved bathroom. Everything you see here has been changed/upgraded from the pre-flood bathroom. Even the towels. Thanks to my very interior design talented boyfriend -- our bathroom looks catalog worthy. Check it out!

Vision

This is a peek in to my life. The life of a girl with a guitarist boyfriend. Behold....the family....(there is a banjo that is not shown here...but lives with us as well.....)

Convo between life mates

Saturday Eric and I went and returned some stuff at the Container Store. The Container Store is located in this yuppie shopping center in Arlington and after the return we walked around, hand in hand, amongst all the early Christmas shoppers. We grabbed a gingerbread latte and enjoyed the nice fall weather...just the two of us. Just as I was thinking the day could not get any better -- it did -- Eric says:

Eric: "Hey, do you want to go to Myer Emco?"

Me: "What's Myer Emco?

Eric: "Oh, you've never heard of Myer Emco??? It's a craft Store. I'm so surprised you've never heard of it!"

Me: "Well I"ve heard that name before but I thought it sold tires or something...."

Eric: "Oh. Weird. No, it's a craft store."

Me: "Well yea! Lets go! Is it expensive?"

Eric: "Um...not sure...lets see."

Me: "Ok great!" ..thinking of all the cool Christmas crafts I could get started on.....when....

In the distance I see.......MYER EMCO - AUDIO VISUAL....written above the entrance... and a bunch of big screen TVs..

Me: "You asshole!"

Eric: "What? OH wierd! It must have changed! It USED to be a craft store!"

I need your help

Eric sent this to me today:

E-mail Subject Line: I need your help.

Would you be willing to do this with my amp? It might help it sell
faster...

My thoughts:

How very interesting I find it that people would go to these lengths to sell something on E-bay. How proud her father must be that his daughters ever-regions are spralled out on E-bay for the sale of a used amp. Classy!

(I hope you know that Eric was joking. Besides...I'm not that thin. Bitch!)

Pretty decent timing, eh?

Have a good weekend?

I DID!!

Friday night I had a lovely date. Went to a fancy Italian restaurant. Drank lovely red wine. Had great convo and lots of laughs for hours and hours. The ambiance of this new Restaurant was so romantic and spectacular that our original plan to go to the movies quickly turned in to a candle light dinner instead. Holly -- you're a great date! We should leave the boys at home more often to wine and dine.

Saturday I finished another crafting project I've been working on. I'm making stockings for Christmas. Two of them. One for each of my special boys, Eric and Brodie. Eric's is done and B's I just started. This is what Eric's looks like. I would have taken a picture of the one I actually did to show you I have talent but until YESTERDAY I had no DIGITAL CAMERA....

Yesterday Eric and I were discussing how annoying it is that our digital Camera is complete shite! We borrowed it from my Mom, the most non camera skilled person I know, so we couldn't complain too loudly. On the drive to lunch Eric posed a question: "Would you like me to give you one of your Christmas presents early?" to which I replied, "Why yes. I'd love that!" so off to CompUSA we went and got this... I am a happy happy camera girl now. And I'll be taking tons and tons of pictures to share with you, the world.

My friend Keelee comes in just a week and a half to visit me. She is my party buddy. Look out world -- HERE WE COME!!! On the 18th Eric has a gig and she's going to be my date. I'm looking so forward to showing her how to rock out the white trash that frequents the venue he plays in. How do those people keep their acid wash jeans in mint condition anyway?

I looked and looked for a really embarrassing picture to post of Keelee but I couldn't find the one I had in mind, so this one will have to do. (Lucky for Keelee I'm not a complete twat because many of the recent ones I have of her she's nude, drunk, and displaying some interesting body language.)

We're going to play a little catch up.

Last Friday as you know I gave Deannie a birthday party. It wasn't a surprise but I kept her from the details which was annoying to her thus fun for me. Also fun for me was presenting my pride and joy, The Eric and Jessica Camper Pot. I've showed you the prelim pictures already but here are the pictures of Deannie receiving and enjoying her pot. Also with the toilet I gave her an Outhouse calendar for 2006. As you can see she's thrilled about both. Score!

Here is Deannie with the Outhouse calendar. Isn't it cute!? You'll just never guess where I bought that! ( Walmart!)

Here is the birthday girl trying out her new pot!

Here is the final and complete version of the toilet. AS you can see it's quite a project. It was a lot of fun and I'm thinking about taking up camper toilets when I retire.

This is the condo back in action! We still have some minor changes but as you can see for the most part we're not living in a swamp. Can you believe THAT living room was under 2" of water a few months ago?

After the party Holly, Curt, Brodie, Eric and I went to the beach house for some rest and relaxation. Little did Deannie know but she was going to! Dean blind folded her for the hour and a half drive and left her guessing as to where they were going. Romantic bed and breakfast? Well...kinda! More like a house of partying adults and one very tortured baby boy.

Here I am tossing Brodie up in the air trying to relieve his panic about having to put on the Halloween costume I bought him before he was even born! It's a lot to live up to. After this we bathed him up and then....

BAM! Kid torture! I don't know what he has against "Peas in a Pod" but I thought it was cute! I took the costume for my own kids since it didn't go over well with B-man.

Eventually I calmed with with a milk sedative.

Just when you thought I was being insensitive his Mother put him in Costume #2 when they got home. Yea...this one came from Grandma Kerri -- and I'm sad that he liked it better.

Side Note: Brodie's nickname is "bean" because he looked like a kidney bean in the womb. There isn't a big market on Kidney Bean costumes yet but Grandma Kerri found a STRING BEAN for him instead!

Here is proud mama with my Bean. He looks so unsuspecting -- like, "I don't get it? What's so funny? It's comfy!"

This picture needs no words.

I think he might be starting to figure out why everyone is laughing in this shot....

Yesterday I took a break from blogging and from work to baby sit the B-man. His day care provider was unable to provide day care due to some religious holiday. I happily volunteered wake up at 7am and hang with my little love. This picture is not from Yesterday (note: prezit picture) but it was taken a few days ago and reflects the love I have for my little man. HE'S SO CUTE and I miss him today!

My Face

My face hurts. There is a lot going on with it today. My sinuses are acting up and hurting me right up under my cheek bones. It's this terrible ache. That ache then causes my top teeth to ache. My teeth are yellow which hurts my heart and so I'm using Crest Whitening strips and they seem to be working ok. I've had a zit developing next to my mouth for almost a week now and it's getting so big it looks like it's starting it's own nation. I sit around with zit cream on it when I can but every now and again I touch it on accident and hurts real bad.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, KAYCEE!

Happy 26th birthday, Kaycee. Even though you're getting older and growing more gray hair by the minute I'm sure it's comforting for you, on some level, to know that you've not grown up to be any less of an annoying little sister. If we didn't live in separate states I'm quite sure you'd still be stealing my fucking clothes; however, I am proud that through a maturation period on both of our parts, we are no longer beating each other up in the kitchen or on the floor at parties. Sorry for that black eye that one time.....

All my love!
